starting a psychotherapy private practice

Starting a private practice can feel overwhelming- especially in the San Francisco Bay Area, where we are saturated with therapists. But, there are so many people living here who recognize the value of therapy, and how it can help them become more capable of living a thriving and fulfilling life. I can help you set your practice up so that you can be found by the people looking for just the kind of therapy you have to offer- and be ready to help them when they call.

If you are new to private practice, or would like help in finding ways to tweak your existing practice to increase its sustainability and capacity to support you, you've come to the right place. I have created free worksheets, documents, and videos to help you think about ways to let your practice take care of you so that you can take care of your patients/clients.

I have spent the past six years building my practice to a place that can financially support my life, and also leaves room for creative endeavors and self-care. I have had a lot of help along the way, and I want to pass what has worked for me along to you. All of these materials are completely free to you, and include links to people and resources that have been helpful to me. For a fee, I also offer in-person or telephone consultations for therapists who want detailed and personalized support in starting, adjusting, or enhancing their private practice. Please contact me for current rates and availability.

There is no right way to do private practice. If you need something different from what I offer here, I am happy to connect you to therapists and resources that utilize a different model, or have different methods to building their practice. If you're looking for something specific, just ask and I'll do my best to help connect you to the right people.
